Daryl Dike’s four and a half years at West Brom could be over after Saturday’s finale against Sheffield Wednesday, with his contract up this summer. Yet a line in his latest message hinted his Albion chapter might not be finished.
The player said in a post that it had been a very difficult season, he thanked supporters for their backing and signed off with the words onto the next.
Dike has been plagued by injuries since his home debut, suffering a string of issues including two major Achilles injuries that kept him out for almost two years combined.
This season he battled back to make 25 appearances, only the second time he has reached that figure since signing. He scored crucial goals against Preston and Watford and played a part in steering Albion to Championship survival.
James Morrison has been coy on the future of the out-of-contract players. A decision is yet to be confirmed, with Albion expected to publish their released and retained list soon.
