With one month left in the Brazilian window, Vasco have two signings and are pushing for more. According to Globo.com, Facundo Colidio and Santiago Sosa have arrived, with defence and attack prioritised.
Diego Carlos has been the leading defensive target since the window opened. Contracted to Fenerbahçe, and previously tracked, the most viable route would be a contract termination in Türkiye so Vasco could open salary talks.
Inside the club he is seen as capable of lifting the back line, having built his career with Sevilla and Aston Villa before Fenerbahçe.
With Sosa and Colidio in, the squad now has 10 foreigners, and with Cuesta and Saldivia not born in Brazil at centre-back, a Brazilian is a priority.
In attack, John Yeboah is among the favoured options. Vasco have offered around 8 million euros to Venezia, and Admar Lopes rates the Ecuadorian, though Yeboah is waiting on a chance to stay in Europe.
Brian Rodríguez, do América do México, remains on the radar, and Pablo Solari, do Spartak Moscou, is also admired as Vasco seek goalscorers as well as wingers.
Hugo Moura has left. Approaches for Marino Hinestroza and Saldivia were rejected, and the board are focused on arrivals, not exits, and do not plan to trim wages amid the possible investor Marcos Lamacchia.
The Brazilian window closes on 11 September, and Vasco plan to press on while trying to climb out of the Brasileirão relegation zone and competing in the Copa do Brasil and Copa Sul-Americana.
