Diego López ‘to undergo’ third surgery on right knee

Cope Valencia reports that Diego López will undergo a third operation on his right knee.

The Valencia player damaged the joint in the final match of last season against Barcelona.

He was first operated on 10 June for a ruptured cruciate ligament, then returned to surgery in August to treat adhesions in the same knee. That second procedure was not expected to alter the recovery plan.

Given his long-term injury, Valencia did not register him for the season.

The initial expectation was a comeback in the first months of 2027, although this latest intervention could lengthen his recovery and postpone it.
