FC Bayern are being thwarted by injury worries in their youth ranks as the season draws to a close. Following the loss of Lennart Karl, the next top talent is now also in danger of breaking away – thus exacerbating the personnel situation for coach Vincent Kompany
The 18-year-old attacking player Lennart Karl has torn a muscle fibre in his back thigh and will be out for around three weeks. It is particularly bitter that he will not only miss important Bundesliga matches, but also the decisive Champions League second leg against Real Madrid
Guido della Rovere could actually have benefited from this situation. The Italian attacking talent is considered one of the most exciting gems on campus and was already on the verge of making his professional debut. The playmaker has impressed with strong performances in the Bayern regional league and has already scored four goals and provided ten assists this season
After several training sessions with the professionals and his first squad nomination, the next step seemed only a matter of time. But now, of all times, he is in danger of being ruled out
As reported by BILD, he suffered an injury in the early stages of the second team’s game against Würzburg on Friday evening without any outside influence. Everything points to a muscle injury – a final diagnosis is still pending, but FC Bayern is very worried

This means Kompany could lose two promising options in attack, which is a major setback, especially in a phase with a high workload and a tight game schedule
In addition, talented midfielder Maycon Cardozo, who has also suffered a muscle injury and will be absent for several weeks, is also out. The personnel situation in the youth ranks is therefore getting noticeably worse
This development comes at an inopportune time for FC Bayern. While the first team is fighting for titles, young players in particular should be providing relief. Instead, the pressure is now growing on the established players to cope with the remaining games without additional options
Although the campus continues to deliver promising talent, a series of injuries is currently slowing down the next generation at FC Bayern.
