Even though there won’t be any more new signings at FC Bayern this summer, the record champions’ management is always keeping an eye on the transfer market. Young German players with a lot of potential are always high on the FCB’s list.
Finn Jeltsch of VfB Stuttgart is one such player. The center back, who has developed exceptionally well with the Swabians, has been linked to Bayern for quite some time. Like other clubs, FCB sees him as a major prospect for the future.
Numerous top clubs from abroad are reportedly keeping an eye on him, as CaughtOffside now reports. Leading the pack is Manchester United.
According to the report, the Red Devils have scouted the defender on multiple occasions, and United’s scouting department was very impressed by the young defender’s qualities. Although Stuttgart has no interest in selling him, the Red Devils could still make at least one attempt to sign him this summer.

Jeltsch is considered a robust yet modern defender who has good acceleration and can also make an impact in build-up play. In addition to Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are also said to be closely monitoring his development. Juventus has him on their radar as well, though a move to Italy is rather unlikely.
For Bayern, a Jeltsch transfer would likely only be feasible in the future—perhaps when Minjae Kim, who is slated to serve as backup for Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah this season, leaves in the summer of 2027. At that point, Bayern would need a new player for their defense.
And Jeltsch, who is significantly younger than Tah and Upamecano, would then fit perfectly into the team’s age structure. But that’s still a long way off, and right now it looks as though Stuttgart won’t let him go in the final stretch of the transfer window anyway.
