Fermin Lopez reveals Hansi Flick’s demand after Barcelona win: “We all go together”

The midfielder Fermin Lopez returned to the starting lineup for FC Barcelona as the Catalans visited the Sanchez Pizjuan for their seventh La Liga game of this season, and came away with a 3-1 win. However, the midfielder was unable to add to the impressive tally of four goals he has already accumulated this season.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Fermin also talked to the media after the match. He revealed that it was one of the team’s objectives to reach the international break with a perfect record and also revealed one specific demand of Hansi Flick from the players:

“Our objective was to go into the international break as leaders with a perfect record, and we are very happy. What the manager asks of us is to press immediately after losing the ball. We all go together, and we are happy with the work we are doing.”

The midfielder praised Raphinha, who scored a hat-trick in this game to get his side the full three points:

“Raphinha has surprised us a little because he had never played as a No. 9 before. He is very good and can adapt to any position in attack. We give him the balls, and he puts them away.”

Fermin, who was named in Spain’s squad for the upcoming international break, expressed his happiness at returning to his national team after missing the World Cup:

“I’m very happy to be back with the national team. It was very tough to miss the World Cup. I have made a good start to the season, and I’m happy to be back with the national team.”

Both Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo are playing at a very high level at the start of the season, and it will be interesting to see how Hansi Flick rotates between them to get the best returns for his Barcelona team.
