Flamengo have agreed to let 19-year-old forward Alan Santos join Benfica, with the Brazilian club retaining a stake in any future deal.
According to Flazoeiro and FlaBase, Flamengo will not receive a fee for the move and will keep 50% of a future sale.
Santos is set to start with Benfica B and could be promoted to the first team if he excels.
He made three senior appearances for Flamengo this year, without a goal or assist, during the early Campeonato Carioca fixtures when the club used their under-20s. He also took part in mid-season training in Portugal but did not convince Leonardo Jardim.
At the Copa Libertadores Under-20 this year, Flamengo finished runners-up. Santos led the competition for goal involvements with three goals and one assist, and placed second in the scoring chart.
Flamengo have made similar no-fee exits to Portugal in 2026 while retaining percentages, including Rayan Lucas to Alverca, Kaio Nóbrega to Estoril and David Viana to Portimonense.
