Gabriel Mec, an 18-year-old Brazilian winger, trained with Porto for the first time on Thursday and, as is customary for new arrivals, took part in an initiation ritual.

He was officially unveiled on Wednesday, following Santiago Gimenez and Souza. O Jogo reports that he joined from Grémio on a five-year deal that includes an 80 million euro release clause. The fee is 11 million euros, potentially rising to 12 if sporting targets are achieved.

The Brazilian club will retain 12% of any capital gains from a future transfer and will handle solidarity payments due to third parties.

Porto will incur intermediary costs of 4.5% of the fixed fee, which could reach a maximum of 9% if objectives are met.

In the 2026 season in Brazil, Gabriel Mec recorded three goals and two assists in 32 appearances for the Porto Alegre side.
