Turkish side Galatasaray are pushing to sign RC Lens full-back Przemyslaw Frankowski (29), according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Whilst the transfer window in France has been shut for five days, in other countries, the window remains open, notably in Turkey. Galatasaray are keen to sign a full-back, as has been made clear by their approaches for several Olympique Lyonnais players. The club have seen bids for Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Clinton Mata rejected with OL refusing to sell players that they cannot replace.
Lens, however, find themselves in a different situation and a different financial reality. Galatasaray have already submitted an offer for Frankowski, which has been rejected. The Turkish side are desperate to recruit the Poland international before the closure of the transfer window on Tuesday.
Les Sang et Or, however, want to keep hold of Frankowski, but given Galatasaray’s determination to get the deal done, there is still the chance of an agreement being reached, as per Foot Mercato.
