Galatasaray ‘table’ €45m bid for Gabriel Martinelli as winger resists move | OneFootball

Gabriel Martinelli has no intention of leaving Arsenal this window and has no wish to join Galatasaray. The Athletic reports that Galatasaray have tabled a €45m offer, worth £38.4m, which the winger is not pursuing.

Martinelli is under contract until 2027, with Arsenal holding an option to extend to 2028. Talks over a renewal have not yet begun.

At 25, he is among the players Arsenal could listen to offers for if a compelling bid arrives.

Arsenal have added Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge this summer, and they also chased Brazilian Vinicius Junior before he renewed with Real Madrid.

The club entered the window needing sales to balance the books. Striker Leandro Trossard has joined Besiktas for €20m and Christian Norgaard has moved to Everton for £7m, though further departures are still viewed as necessary.

Signed from Brazilian side Ituano in 2019, Martinelli has made 278 first-team appearances and scored 62 goals. Last season he played 53 times in all competitions, registering 11 goals and seven assists, as Arsenal won the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final.
