Getafe CF have signed Iván Azón on a season-long loan from Como 1907 for 2026/27. The 23-year-old striker arrives after spending last season with Ipswich Town in the Championship.
According to Superdeporte, Valencia CF had tracked Azón since his last season with Real Zaragoza. Their first move came before his switch to Como 1907, when they had a deal in place, but Umar Sadiq joined that winter as Valencia sought to improve a poor campaign.
The links resurfaced last summer after Sadiq returned to Real Sociedad, leaving Carlos Corberán’s side needing a striker. Valencia were Azón’s preferred option, but he moved to England.
Other Spanish interest included CA Osasuna, who contested his signing two winter windows ago. After Como, Getafe made him a target.
An academy graduate at Real Zaragoza, Azón has amassed 144 Segunda División appearances, scoring 25 and supplying nine assists. On loan at Ipswich Town last season, he played 38 games, with five goals and four assists.
He now heads to the Coliseum for the 2026/27 campaign.
