The weekend brought plenty of action for Guadalajara’s youth categories, as they played their Clausura 2026 Matchday 7 fixtures on the road in their respective competitions. The Cantera Rojiblanca faced Mazatlán and Cruz Azul, once again showing resilience and competitive spirit. Since Nación Chiva always keeps a close eye on every step taken by the Rebaño’s representatives, here’s a full recap of each match.
Sub 17
Chivas’ youngsters earned an emphatic 1-4 win over Mazatlán in their visit to the Perla del Pacífico. The Rojiblancos responded well after falling behind in the 20th minute. The Tapatío side played to a 1-1 draw in their visit to La Noria against Cruz Azul. The Rebaño fell behind due to an own goal in the 32’, but reacted quickly as Diego Covarrubias leveled the score in the 37’ in the capital. Cruz Azul claimed the extra point in the penalty shootout.
Following this result, the Rojiblancos sit sixth in the standings with 12 points.
