The weekend brought plenty of action for Guadalajara’s youth categories, as they played their Clausura 2026 Matchday 7 fixtures on the road in their respective competitions. The Cantera Rojiblanca faced Mazatlán and Cruz Azul, once again showing resilience and competitive spirit. Since Nación Chiva always keeps a close eye on every step taken by the Rebaño’s representatives, here’s a full recap of each match.

Chivas’ youngsters earned an emphatic 1-4 win over Mazatlán in their visit to the Perla del Pacífico. The Rojiblancos responded well after falling behind in the 20th minute. Hendrick Castañeda equalized in the 40’, followed by goals from Jorge Lewis (50’), Joseph González (58’), and Francisco Moreno (90’) to seal a dominant victory.

With the win, Guadalajara remains atop Group 2 with 15 points.

Sub 21

The Tapatío side played to a 1-1 draw in their visit to La Noria against Cruz Azul. The Rebaño fell behind due to an own goal in the 32’, but reacted quickly as Diego Covarrubias leveled the score in the 37’ in the capital. Cruz Azul claimed the extra point in the penalty shootout.

Following this result, the Rojiblancos sit sixth in the standings with 12 points.

Sub 19

Our squad also traveled to face Cruz Azul in the capital. In a tightly contested match that went down to the wire, the Rebaño pushed for an equalizer but ultimately fell by the narrowest of margins against La Máquina.

Chivas Sub 19 now sits in 12th place overall with 11 points.

Sub 15

Meanwhile, the Sub 15 team faced Mazatlán in a match that proved challenging from the opening minutes. An own goal in the 35’ shaped the course of the game, and despite their efforts to find an equalizer, the Rebaño also suffered a narrow defeat.

Our side currently stands fifth in Group 2 with 10 points.
