A Bola reports that José Mourinho has yet to set Benfica’s training plan for Alverca. The players were given a day off after the draw at Tondela.
Benfica did not train on Monday, two February, after returning from the north of the country. The lull follows a demanding week for the squad.
It is unclear whether they will resume work on Tuesday or wait until Wednesday, four February. Vangelis Pavlidis has yet to score against Alverca.
With the window closed to incomings, only departures are possible, since clubs in Türkiye and Saudi Arabia can still sign players. Mourinho has a broader group available, helped by recent additions and returns from injury, including Bruma and Dodi Lukebakio.
Benfica host Alverca at Estádio da Luz on Sunday, eight February, at 20:30. They are third in Liga Portugal Betclic on 46 points, behind Sporting on 51 and Porto on 55.
