Kevin Danso joins Sunderland on loan from Tottenham | OneFootball

Kevin Danso has joined Sunderland on loan from Tottenham. The Austria international centre-back is 27 and has 36 caps.

According to L'Équipe, the deal carries a loan fee of three million euros and an obligation to buy for 27 million euros if the Black Cats stay up.

He will play in the Europa League under Régis Le Bris.

Danso joined from Lens and made 52 appearances across two testing campaigns that ended 17th in the Premier League.

He has lost his place this season and did not feature in Roberto De Zerbi’s opening two matches, a 0-3 defeat to Brentford and 0-2 against Newcastle.

That came after the arrival of Jean-Paul Ven Hecke from Brighton for nearly 60 million euros.
