Lazio have stepped up their move for Pogon Szczecin prospect Adrian Przyborek, but will need to improve their opening offer.

Il Messaggero reports that an opening €4.5 million bid was swiftly rejected by Pogon, and Claudio Lotito and Angelo Fabiani could return with a higher proposal in the coming days.

The Biancocelesti have been busy in January, yet some moves have irked Maurizio Sarri and the fanbase, who fear a drop in quality. Sporting director Angelo Fabiani is still chasing long-term opportunities.

Przyborek, 19, came through Pogon Szczecin’s academy and has been in the first team since 2023. This season he has 19 appearances in all competitions, with three goals and two assists. His deal runs to June 2027.

Sarri, despite signing Kenneth Taylor, has argued that Matteo Guendouzi was not properly replaced. Przyborek is a No. 10 playmaker rather than a like-for-like midfielder, though he could emerge as Luis Alberto’s eventual successor.
