Lazio host Sassuolo on Monday evening in Serie A. Fabio Grosso’s men are on a three-match winning run and sit ninth, two places above the stuttering Aquile.

As reported by The Laziali, a combined XI is set out in a four-three-three, taking current absences into account. The gap in quality has narrowed, and finishing below the Emilian club would sting Lazio’s pride.

In goal, Ivan Provedel is preferred to Arijanet Muric, though shoulder surgery will end his season. Sebastian Walukiewicz starts at right-back ahead of Adam Marusic, with Woyo Coulibaly also considered. Mario Gila partners Alessio Romagnoli, edging Jay Idzes and Tarik Muheremovic, while Nuno Tavares gets the nod over Uliesses Garcia at left-back.

Ismael Kone claims the right-sided midfield role. The 23-year-old has five goals, more than any Lazio player this season. Nicolo Rovella is the regista despite two injuries, chosen over 37-year-old Nemanja Matic, and Kristian Thorstvedt completes midfield, beating Kenneth Taylor and Toma Basic.

Domenico Berardi is the standout on the right over Gustav Isaksen and Matteo Cancellieri. Andrea Pinamonti leads the line despite being suspended for Monday, with Lazio’s debate continuing as Sarr insists on using Daniel Maldini as the No. nine and Petar Ratkov has yet to convince. Mattia Zaccagni edges Armand Lauriente on the left.
