Leeds United are exploring a late-window deal for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
According to Leeds Live, negotiations are not straightforward but a deal could be reached, with other clubs also circling. The 21-year-old operates primarily from the left.
Bahoya made 27 Bundesliga appearances last season, starting 15. Across all competitions he recorded four goal involvements in 37 outings, without a goal or assist in eight Champions League games, two of which were starts.
The situation around Wilfried Gnonto is unchanged. Fiorentina are presenting the view that they expect him to be a La Viola player by close of play, yet if another left-wing move collapses Leeds will recall him.
Fiorentina have turned to Sporting CP attacker Pedro Goncalves, viewed as an addition rather than an alternative. Gnonto and Everton striker Beto would complete their window.
While a loan framework may be in place, Leeds have not rubber-stamped anything. The Italian market shuts at seven pm tonight.
Gnonto underwent a medical in Italy on Monday to enable a swift agreement should Leeds secure a new left winger. Leeds’ slim hopes of borrowing Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk were ended by Tottenham Hotspur’s late swoop.
