Leeds United have entered late talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, according to The Athletic. Wilfried Gnonto’s proposed move to Fiorentina is tied to a seven pm cut-off.

Serie A closes tonight at seven pm BST, so Leeds cannot wait for England’s eleven pm deadline. Leeds will not sanction Gnonto’s exit unless a direct replacement is signed first.

Daniel Farke’s side are exploring a last-gasp deal for the 21-year-old French attacker on an accelerated timetable.

Bahoya rejected newly promoted Hull City earlier in the window. After missed moves for Mykhailo Mudryk and Mateus Mane, he has become Leeds’ leading attacking target.

With Fiorentina pushing to close terms for Gnonto, the pressure is on Leeds and Frankfurt to complete Bahoya’s paperwork before seven pm to keep the double move alive.

Even if the full agreement is not finalised by then, Leeds are seeking a clear decision from Frankfurt and Bahoya by the cut-off.
