Leicester boss urged to drop Ayew amid chairman's fan request

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has been urged by one LCFC-specialist writer to remove a struggling player from the starting lineup. Specifically, there is a suggestion that the Dutchman should drop Ghanaian winger Jordan Ayew. Though van Nistelrooy appears to value the former Crystal Palace star when he's in the XI.

And we believe we know why the one-time Manchester United striker favours Ayew so much even in the face of fan disapproval. Not to mention public objections on social media. Furthermore, a separate Fox is also coming under increasing pressure in the side. Will Bobby De Cordova-Reid also be dropped? And which attacking pair are the favoured replacements?

In addition to covering wingmen, we also examine chairman Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha's comments in the east Midlands outfit's matchday programme versus Arsenal. While Top and his family remain somewhat revered in Leicestershire, the majority of LCFC support want a form of change at the club. Yet seemingly immune director of football Jon Rudkin is definitely not wanted by the City faithful overall.

You already probably know about Leicester's recent protests at King Power Stadium and elsewhere. Some of you may have even joined in. 'Project Reset', as the very clandestine group of fans christened themselves, made an articulate demand to the Foxes hierarchy. Transparency, better investment and the removal of Rudkin are certain chief proposals. Although Top had his own request for the LCFC fan base.

Leicester Mercury reporter Jordan Blackwell asks for Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid to be taken out of Leicester City team

Blackwell, who is a genuine City expert in my opinion, has a proposition for van Nistelrooy. He wants the 48-year-old to 'take more risks' in selection. This relates to omitting Ayew and De Cordova-Reid for Stephy Mavididi and Facundo Buonanotte. I must say I'm right behind this:

"For many, the problem is the maligned wingers. It’s not that Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid are defensive options as such, but they are not quite the risk-takers their rivals in the squad are... Stephy Mavididi, Facundo Buonanotte, or both, need to start or be brought on earlier."Jordan Blackwell

Chairman's notes

Below is what Top said to the Leicester support:

"We know some of you are frustrated, we respect the views you have shared and we know there are things we need to improve together as one club.“But we also know those improvements are made more easily in the Premier League. To give us the best chance of achieving that, I ask that, during the game, you get behind the team and give them your full support. Winning the games and the points we need to stay up is only possible with your support."Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha
