Levante coach sends warning to Barcelona ahead of La Liga clash | OneFootball

Following wins against Elche, Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, and Valencia, FC Barcelona are set to return to La Liga action on Sunday, when they will travel again to Valencia to face Levante. With the team they have at their disposal, and especially the way they have started the new season, the Catalans are the clear favorites to win this match.

However, their opponents are seemingly not intimidated by their dominant recent performances, and will be keen to put up a good fight in Sunday’s match. This is clear from a press conference held by the Levante coach, Luis Castro, ahead of this game.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Spanish coach believed his team had the same chances of winning as Barcelona:

The Levante coach was particularly keen to get a result in front of his fans:

“As with every match, we prepare to win. There are no easy games in LaLiga, and Barcelona are one of the best teams in the world, but we are going to play to win, do our best and try to give our fans another reason to celebrate at our stadium.”

Castro was treating the Blaugranes just like any other opponent, and looking to take advantage of any of their weaknesses:

“Every opponent has their strengths. Against Barça, you have to be concentrated and alert. If you want to win, you have to try to take away as much of the opponent’s potential as possible.”
