Having failed to secure a move to a top-five European club, Simon Banza is still hoping to find a way out.

The Congolese international (14 caps, 2 goals) could be set for a return to Turkey. After being loaned by Braga to Trabzonspor for the 2024-2025 season, the 29-year-old striker went back to Portugal. However, he's currently at odds with his management and is training with the reserve squad.

With his split from the Portuguese club now complete, the former Lens striker is struggling to find a new team. Lens and Wolfsburg both showed interest this summer, but no transfer materialized.

With the Turkish transfer window closing this Friday, September 12, Simon Banza is hoping to seal a move to Galatasaray. Such a switch would give him the chance to feature in the Champions League.

During his previous spell in Turkey last season, the Congolese forward made an impact with 22 goals and 7 assists in 37 appearances across the Super Lig and Turkish Cup.
