Middlesbrough are among the clubs weighing a deadline day move for Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, who could depart on loan before the summer window closes.
According to TheArgus.co.uk, Middlesbrough want a wide player with Morgan Whittaker poised for a switch to Colorado Rapids ahead of the MLS deadline on Wednesday.
The former Arsenal winger excelled for Bolton in League One last season, and a Championship move would offer a second chance to prove himself after an injury-affected loan two seasons ago with Blackburn.
He has had limited minutes for Albion in pre-season and the Conference League this summer without really catching the eye, although he impressed Fabian Hurzeler in pre-season training.
He featured as a substitute against Roma in pre-season, operating as a No.10 after Ibrahim Osman and Zadok Yohanna had gone wide, then came on late in the play-off first leg at Tromso.
Tromso frequently showed him down the outside, though he produced one dangerous cross for Charalampos Kostoulas after cutting on to his left foot.
Albion’s deadline day activity was expected to include departures for younger players, either on loan or permanently.
