Whilst Sébastien Pocognoli has quickly struck a balance in defence, the new AS Monaco manager has not yet found a settled forward line. It is a forward line that is set to be tinkered with once more for the visit to FC Nantes on Wednesday night.
Monaco will still be without Caio Henrique, who sustained a minor foot injury last week. The Brazilian could return this weekend, but it makes Pocognoli’s options in defence limited. There are more plentiful options up front and it is there that he will have decisions to make. Mika Biereth could replace Folarin Balogun up top. Behind him, Aleksandr Golovin could come in and Ansu Fati may therefore drop to the bench.
Eric Dier, Vanderson, Lamine Camara, Denis Zakaria, Lukas Hradecky, and Paul Pogba all also remains sidelined.
Philipp Kohn; Christian Mawissa, Mohammed Salisu, Thilo Kehrer; Kassoum Ouattara, Aladji Bamba, Jordan Teze, Krépin Diatta; Aleksandr Golovin, Maghnes Akliouche; Mika Biereth. (L’Éq)
