Olympique Lyonnais expect further outgoings, with Mathys De Carvalho ‘expected to join’ Al-Diriyah this weekend, while Nicolas Tagliafico’s future remains uncertain. Inbound business is considered complete.
Several windows remain open, including Brazil and Mexico until 11 September, Portugal until 15 September, and the Saudi Pro League until 12 October. L’Equipe reports that De Carvalho is expected to depart in the coming hours for the promoted Saudi side.
The 21-year-old midfielder has made 22 senior appearances since the 2025-2026 season. The fee is understood to be around €1 million. Al-Diriyah have recently added Chancel Mbemba, Idrissa Gueye and Gaëtan Laborde.
Left-back Tagliafico was targeted by Juventus and Atletico late in the window. Lyon’s recruitment chief Mathieu Louis-Jean would not be drawn on whether he will stay.
“Right until the end, we thought it was going to happen with Atletico. Some markets are still open, but I do not really know what will happen. For now, Nico is with us and we are very happy,” he told Ligue 1 +.
