Palmeiras talent Sorriso close to Al-Fateh loan after Avaí exit | OneFootball

Sorriso, a Palmeiras academy standout, is close to joining Al-Fateh after his loan at Avaí was terminated.

According to Nosso Palestra, talks are at an advanced stage on a one-season loan without a purchase clause, and the forward is expected to sign to play in Saudi Arabia.

Before agreeing the Avaí move, he was close to a switch to FC Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates, but it fell through late on.

He first caught Palmeiras’ eye at the 2024 Copinha while playing for Atlético Guaratinguetá, after which he joined the club.

He later played a prominent role for Palmeiras in the 2026 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, scoring five times in seven matches and supplying four assists.

During his Série B stint with Avaí, he made 28 appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
