Real Madrid are considering a move for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott after stepping up their scouting of the England international.

The 23-year-old has emerged as a target for several major clubs, with Chelsea and Liverpool already monitoring his progress. TEAMtalk reports that Madrid have watched Scott at least three times in recent weeks, including during Bournemouth’s Europa League win over Real Sociedad.

Madrid scouts were also present for England’s 7-0 win over Croatia, where Scott made his first start for the national team. His performance has further strengthened the Spanish club’s interest as they assess whether to make a move in 2027.

Bournemouth, however, are determined to keep Scott. The club are working on a new contract and do not intend to consider a January departure, despite growing interest from England and abroad.

Chelsea remain among the strongest contenders for Scott, while Liverpool are also following the midfielder’s development. AC Milan have likewise monitored him, although a reported valuation of more than £75 million would make a deal difficult for the Italian side.

Scott’s versatility has added to his appeal. He can operate in several midfield roles and has continued to develop since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023.

Real Madrid have increasingly looked towards young Premier League talent in recent transfer windows, with Jude Bellingham becoming an established figure in the Spanish capital. Scott’s emergence has now put another English midfielder on their recruitment radar.

With Bournemouth unwilling to sell in January, the focus is likely to shift towards next summer. If Madrid decide to turn their interest into a concrete approach, Chelsea and Liverpool could face serious competition for one of the Premier League’s increasingly coveted young midfielders.
