Stade Rennais are about to register the first professional contracts of young players Henrick Do Marcolino (19) and Florian Truffert (19), according to Le Parisien.
Both products of the Breton club’s academy, these two promising Rouge et Noir players are set to follow in the footsteps of some of their teammates, such as Mohamed Chebbi (18), Ruben Lomet (17) and Chibuike Ugochukwu (17).
Do Marcolino, who made his Ligue 1 debut during SRFC’s 3–0 away win at Auxerre on 22nd February, is set to sign a three-year contract with the club where he came through the ranks. A similar deal to that offered to Truffert, the younger brother of AFC Bournemouth’s French international Adrien Truffert (24), who is also expected to turn professional in the coming days.
Two new signings that further cement Stade Rennais’s standing and reputation within the youth development landscape; the club have repeatedly distinguished themselves for their ability to nurture young talent, from Mathys Tel (20) and Jérémy Jacquet (20) to Eduardo Camavinga (23).
