Report – Juventus weighing up a move for Atalanta man

Juventus want a new full back to act as a backup to Andrea Cambiaso this season, and they have identified Atalanta’s Sead Kolasinac as the man for that role.

The Bosnian is very experienced, having also had a spell at Arsenal, and he has remained reliable since joining Atalanta. However, he could struggle to play regularly this season.

Maurizio Sarri does not believe he is good enough for his system, and the former Juventus manager would have no problems with him leaving.

This has opened the door for Juventus to add him to their squad in this window, and the Bianconeri want to take advantage of the situation.

Juventus consider Kolasinac move

Tuttomercatoweb reports that he represents a good value signing for the men in black and white as they look to ensure they have a strong squad ahead of the season.

Kolasinac is the type of left back Luciano Spalletti would love to work with, so the move makes sense for both the player and the Bianconeri. His experience could also prove valuable as Juventus prepare for a long campaign.

The club already have Cambiaso as an important option, but they need reliable cover for the position. Bringing in an experienced player such as Kolasinac would give Spalletti another dependable option.

Kolasinac could provide experience

If Atalanta agree to Juve’s offer, they will sign him, and we expect them to make an offer in the coming days to secure a player for that position while selling or sending Juan Cabal out on loan.

Kolasinac could therefore become an important addition to the Juventus squad, particularly if the club manage to complete their plans for Cabal. His ability to provide experience and reliability could make him a useful backup throughout the campaign.

For Atalanta, allowing him to leave could make sense if he is no longer considered an important part of the plans. Juventus, meanwhile, would be able to strengthen an area where they want greater depth.

The coming days should reveal whether the Bianconeri decide to make their interest concrete. If they can reach an agreement with Atalanta, Kolasinac could soon become the experienced cover Spalletti wants behind Cambiaso.
