Rob Edwards outlined Wolves’ restricted January spending power at his pre-West Ham press conference, as he seeks reinforcements for the second half of the season.

As reported by Molineux.news, poor summer recruitment has left the squad short, and the club is seeking additions as the window opens.

“We might have to do that. It depends on what we want to try and bring in as well. There are different ways of doing that, whether it’s buying or whether it’s loaning,” Edwards said.

“Of course, January can be quite difficult anyway. With the situation that we’re in, we’ve got to be clever with who we’re bringing in.”

“We want to bring in the people who want to be here and feel that they can really affect it, and we feel can affect it as well. But if we’re going to spend some money, it might be that we have to generate some of that as well.”

Jose Sa and Hwang Hee-chan have been tipped to leave this month, while Joao Gomes and Jorgen Strand Larsen could join them.

After years of limited investment and sales of key players, Wolves have gone from European pushes to a fight to protect their Premier League status.
