Tunisia have reportedly sacked their manager Sabri Lamouchi just one game into their World Cup campaign.

According to journalist Romain Molina, the 5-1 defeat to Sweden in the opening game was the final straw for Lamouchi after just five games in charge of the Eagles of Carthage in total.

The former Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest had already been under pressure due to poor results in the build-up to the tournament and reported issues in the dressing room.

This isn't the first time Tunisia have sacked a manager midway through a World Cup tournament. Henryk Kasperczak lasted two games in the 1998 tournament but defeats to England and Colombia meant that Ali Selmi took over for the final draw with Romania.

Tunisia will be hoping for a mid-tournament 'new manager bounce' when they face Japan next.
