A San Lorenzo supporter was filmed making racist gestures towards Santos supporters during Tuesday's Copa Sudamericana Group D match at the Nuevo Gasómetro, which ended 1-1.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the footage spread on social media after being posted by travelling Santos fans. The clip shows a man in San Lorenzo attire striking his chest and mimicking monkey gestures amid taunts between the two ends.

The recording cuts after outraged reactions from nearby Santos supporters. People at the scene said the video was shown to police at the stadium, who advised sending it to CONMEBOL for review.

The incident came amid CONMEBOL's recent anti-racism drives across continental competitions. In recent seasons it has promoted actions titled 'O Respeito é Titular' and 'Basta de Racismo' before Libertadores and Sudamericana fixtures.

As of now, neither Santos, San Lorenzo nor CONMEBOL have issued an official comment. The Santos delegation returned to Brazil in the early hours of Wednesday following the match in Argentina.
