Sandro Sabatini says Spalletti has changed and it’s not for good | OneFootball

Sandro Sabatini has spoken about Juventus’ struggles at the start of this season and believes Luciano Spalletti has changed, although he does not mean that in a positive way.

The Bianconeri were expected to start the campaign strongly after Spalletti had done well during the months he coached the team last term. However, the gaffer is now struggling.

This was the campaign in which Juve were expected to compete for trophies, and there is still a chance for that to happen. However, their last two matches have suggested that not much has changed for them.

Spalletti Faces Growing Questions

The Bianconeri believed they had one of the strongest squads before the season began and placed significant trust in Spalletti. They still back him, but opinions about the manager are changing.

He needs wins soon and must get players like Randal Kolo Muani performing before the season goes deeper. Juventus need better results if they are to challenge for trophies.

Sabatini was discussing their campaign and questioned the version of Spalletti he is seeing at Juventus. He believes some of the qualities that once made the coach highly respected are no longer visible.

Sabatini Questions Juventus Boss

Sabatini does not believe Antonio Conte’s shadow is the main issue, but he has questioned Spalletti’s recent approach and whether it resembles the coach he once admired.

He said via Tuttojuve:

“It’s not unusual for Conte ‘s shadow to hang over Juventus . I don’t think it’s really the case. I struggle to understand Spalletti saying, ‘I liked the team.’ I don’t know, I don’t recognize Spalletti anymore, the Spalletti of the good old days. I have to say this, because Spalletti is a coach who has taught all coaches a lot, including cunning, including tricks, including things I no longer see.”

Spalletti now has to prove Sabatini wrong, with improved results and stronger performances needed as Juventus continue their campaign.
