Sevilla ‘to renew’ push for Lazio’s Petar Ratkov as Levante lead race

La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that Sevilla have revived their pursuit of Petar Ratkov, with Levante currently ahead in the race.

The 23-year-old joined Lazio in January as a replacement for Taty Castellanos, has yet to score, and was largely benched by Maurizio Sarri, with Gennaro Gattuso offering similar minutes. Gattuso has made it clear the Serbian is ill-suited to his tactics, and Andrea Pinamonti’s arrival has pushed him further down the order. Ratkov initially resisted leaving but is now more open to a move to avoid a peripheral season.

Sevilla had explored an alternative, switching attention to Conrad Harder, a 22-year-old Danish forward at RB Leipzig and also on Lazio’s radar. French sources say he is on the verge of joining Strasbourg.

With Harder seemingly off the table, the report adds that Sevilla are expected to make a renewed push for Ratkov in the coming hours.

The former RB Salzburg striker was previously open to joining Sevilla. Whether the Andalusians can turn the race in their favour against Levante now remains to be seen.
