Galatasaray are preparing for the possibility of losing Barış Alper Yılmaz by placing Sunderland winger Chemsdine Talbi on their transfer shortlist. The Morocco international made 28 appearances during his first Sunderland season, contributing four goals and one assist.

His speed in transition and willingness to make runs behind defences could offer Galatasaray something different, particularly in European matches where space may be available on the counterattack.

However, the interest remains at an early stage. Galatasaray have not yet submitted a formal offer or opened official negotiations with Sunderland, with their next move likely to depend entirely on Barış Alper’s future.

Transfer race could work in favour of Sunderland

He has exciting potential and suits Buruk’s energetic football, although he should not automatically be expected to replace the Turkish international’s goals, strength and experience.
