Vivaldo Semedo equalised in the 90th minute with a right-footed finish into the bottom right corner, as Watford drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday. The substitute changed the tie minutes after coming on.
Introduced (84.), Semedo immediately offered a penalty box target. He forced Pierce Charles into a save from close range (90.), then steered the leveller home (90.).
The Hornets benefited from his direct penalty box presence. He produced two attempts on target from two shots and two touches in the area, plus an interception and a possession win in the attacking third across just six minutes.
The chance arrived because Watford kept loading the box late. Imran Louza's pass found him in space, and Semedo's movement across the front of goal did the rest.
Hornets visit Stoke next. The Owls host Ipswich.
