Wolves have received a boost over Nasser Djiga after his withdrawal during the 1-0 win at Sheffield United, with the issue understood to be cramp rather than a serious injury, according to ExpressAndStar.com.
The defender left with 20 minutes remaining at Bramall Lane and the head coach was unsure of the cause at full time. Djiga, 23, has started the last five Championship matches.
Toti Gomes came on for the Burkina Faso international and Wolves recorded their first league clean sheet of the season.
Peixoto’s side had conceded 10 goals across their opening five Championship fixtures.
Midfielder Andre said the display demanded strong competition and disciplined defending, praised the way team-mates supported one another, and described the clean sheet as an important step for any promotion-chasing side, stressing they must keep building.
Djiga is likely to be rested for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie at Everton, with Wolves hoping to have him available for Sunday’s Black Country Derby against Albion.
