Yuri Alberto nears Corinthians return as Hugo Souza trains without restrictions | OneFootball

Yuri Alberto has trained fully after a problem in the back of his right thigh, putting him close to a Corinthians return for Sunday’s clássico against Santos.

According to Globo.com, the striker worked with the squad at CT Joaquim Grava after being cleared by the medical department following a morning exam.

He had started his physical transition last week and is expected to be named in Fernando Diniz’s squad for the 25th round of the Brasileirão at Neo Química Arena, kick-off 16:00 Brasília time.

Goalkeeper Hugo Souza, absent from the last match due to a knee strain, also trained without restrictions on the pitch. His status will be monitored by medical and coaching staff in the build-up.

Corinthians reconvened at CT Joaquim Grava on Wednesday after two days off. Diniz’s side are into the Conmebol Libertadores quarter-finals and are ninth in the league with 32 points.
