Darwin Nunez’s proposed move to Trabzonspor has been held up late on, with Al Hilal’s insistence on an obligatory purchase clause and unresolved payments the main snags, according to 61saat. Negotiations are described as advanced.
The Saudi club want the clause set between 30 and 35 million euros in the loan deal, seeking to recover a large slice of their outlay.
Nunez is owed 12 million euros by Al Hilal, and the parties are still working out how that sum and the related taxes will be settled. That impasse has delayed his arrival in Türkiye, which had been pencilled in for 15 August.
Trabzonspor are prepared to cover eight million euros of the striker’s salary. They are not willing to accept the heavy buy obligation, which remains the core disagreement.
Even so, the report indicates both sides still want the deal completed. Final terms on the salary split and the structure of any purchase clause are understood to be the last hurdles.
