Sevilla have set out plans for a new Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán costing €221 million, a rebuild that would send the team to La Cartuja for two years. According to El Correo de Andalucía, the city council granted initial approval to the planning study last month.

The study estimates a two-point-seven-year build, with La Cartuja hosting for two seasons, though procedures could stretch that to three. The scheme has a 50-year lifespan. The process continues amid uncertainty over a possible purchase by Five Eleven and Sergio Ramos.

Works must begin within 12 months of the building licence and be completed within three years of starting. Scheduling indicates a start after the 2026-27 season and a build of two to two-and-a-half years, finishing in June 2029 or late 2029. Sevilla could return for the start of 2029-30 or during that campaign.

Investment is split between €220.501 million for the stadium, €629,748 to reinstate surrounding public space and €1,048,345 for the Ciudad Deportiva. The club will fund the build and reinstatement, with no changes foreseen to the road network or basic services. About 3,780 square metres of public space are affected, plus 13,148.69 for new green area.

Annual income is forecast to rise by more than €18 million, roughly 60%. Matchday revenue would climb from €16.73 million to €25.62 million, driven by capacity and hospitality. Non-match streams such as corporate events, retail, tours and commercial areas are projected to surge 256%. Advertising is expected to add €11 million, a 67% uplift. Payback is 15 years from construction, or 13 from opening.
