Arthur Masuaku unsure on Sunderland future as pre-season return nears

“Honestly, I don’t know,” he said. “At the end of the month I will return to training at my club, I will play and regarding the rest of my career my agent will handle it. For now I’m going back to my club.”

He was speaking to Sports News Africa.

The defender signed last summer and spent the first half of the campaign at the Stadium of Light before joining Lens on loan in January.

He arrived with Premier League, European and international experience.

His situation is among several to settle as Sunderland prepare for a season spanning the Premier League and Europa League.

There has already been movement, with Granit Xhaka’s future clarified and Eliezer Mayenda joining Rennes, while attention shifts to further arrivals and potential exits under Régis Le Bris.
