Krasnodar and Shakhtar ‘make enquiries’ for Carrascal

Jorge Carrascal is expected to leave Flamengo in the next transfer window, despite a dip in form, and he already has European suitors.

According to RTI Esporte, Krasnodar and Shakhtar Donetsk have made enquiries, and his representatives are in talks with clubs in Eastern Europe, though no formal offers have been lodged.

European interest is not new, with Olympique de Marseille having sought information on the Colombian but stopping short of a bid.

Flamengo are not thought likely to fight hard to keep him, and inside the club there is a view he could increase his value with a World Cup appearance.

Carrascal joined Flamengo in August last year, Flamengo paid 12 million euros, around R$ 77 million at the time, to sign him from Dynamo Moscow.
