Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is prioritising a move to Manchester City in the winter transfer window, according to The Athletic.
Racking up eight goals and three assists in 16 Premier League outings, the Ghana international has been one of the standout players in English football this term and is surprisingly wanted by several leading sides around the country.
Aside from Man City, Manchester United and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Semenyo.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also suitors, although the former have recently decided against a move after an initial enquiry, while the latter were reportedly turned down by the player.
Semenyo has a £65 million release clause valid for the first 10 days in January, and while Bournemouth’s preference would be to keep him until the summer, they are resigned to losing their most prized asset next month.
City are keen to land Semenyo as they aim to chase down Arsenal for the Premier League title.
Pep Guardiola’s men are currently two points shy of the top off the back of a blistering run which has seen them win seven consecutive games across all competitions.
Semenyo is comfortable playing on either side of the front three and also combines defensive discipline with his work at the top end of the pitch.
His potential arrival at the Etihad Stadium could open the door to the departure of the likes of Savinho and Oscar Bobb, who have struggled for game time.
