beIN Sports has apologised after consultant Daniel Bravo made a sexist remark about Gaëtane Thiney during Paris FC’s 2-2 draw with OM.

The comment came in the 61st minute as the Paris FC women’s sporting director appeared on screen. According to L'Équipe, the clip spread quickly on social media.

A statement on X on Sunday expressed sincere regret for the on-air words and offered apologies to Thiney, subscribers and anyone offended. It added that sexist judgements have no place on the broadcaster’s channels or social platforms.

The statement also referenced recent online abuse directed at presenter Vanessa Le Moigne. No sanction has been announced at this stage, and the network reiterated its commitment to respect across its coverage.

On Sunday, the association Femmes Journalistes de Sport condemned Bravo’s remarks in the strongest terms. It urged beIN Sports to recognise the gravity of the episode and called on the profession to step up training on sexism in sports media.
