FLW's Burnley fan pundit has given his verdict on Brentford's offer to buy Jaidon Anthony
Burnley are back in the Championship after a 19th place finish in the Premier League.
The Clarets are still searching for a new head coach after the decision to part ways with Scott Parker after their relegation was confirmed.
The Lancashire outfit have been unable to re-establish themselves as a top flight club, having come up, gone down, come up and gone down in the last four campaigns.
Burnley will be hoping that they can use the summer transfer window to bolster their squad for another promotion push next season.
Their campaign gets underway with a clash at home against West Ham on 16 August, and the club will want some fresh faces in the door by then.
However, departures could also be a major part of their transfer business, with Brentford reportedly making an offer to sign Jaidon Anthony.

When asked if a £20 million price tag is an adequate representation of his value, FLW’s Burnley fan pundit Aaron Wright claimed that he’d be happy with that amount for someone of his quality.
However, looking at how much the Bees paid to sign Dango Ouattara last year, perhaps it would be worth seeking a bit more from the Premier League side anyway.
“If you were going to tell me we were going to sell Jaidon Anthony, £20 million is pretty much the price I would’ve said,” Wright told Football League World.
“He’s proven he can play at a Premier League level.
“But, there are aspects of his game which leave questions.
“Like there’s a reason it’s Brentford that are looking for him for a backup.
“But, with how much they paid for Ouattara last year, you’d be rude not to ask for more but, as a fan, if you would’ve told me £20 million — double your money in a year — I’d see no problem with £20 million.
“I think most Burnley fans would be quite happy with £20 million if he was to leave.”
Ouattarra made the move from Bournemouth to Brentford in 2025 in a deal worth £42.5 million, and he went on to become a key figure in Keith Andrews’ side last season.
The 24-year-old contributed seven goals and three assists, with the London outfit narrowly missing out on European qualification.
Andrews’ side finished ninth, losing out to Brighton for a place in the UEFA Conference League due to their inferior goal difference.
Meanwhile, Anthony scored eight and assisted two for the Clarets, as they were unable to avoid relegation to the Championship.
The 26-year-old has spent two seasons at Turf Moor, although he only joined on a permanent basis 12 months ago.
He scored eight goals to help Parker’s side win promotion to the Premier League in 2025, but his future at the club is now uncertain.
The winger has a contract with the Championship side until June 2029, giving the Lancashire outfit some leverage in negotiations with Brentford.
Burnley have until 1 September to complete any remaining transfer business, meaning there is also plenty of time left for the two clubs to strike a deal.

Anthony was an important part of the squad last season, and would be crucial to a promotion push over the next year, so he has a lot of value to the club.
Given the current market, the Clarets should be seeking more than £20 million, even with relegation from the Premier League.
The fee for Ouattara indicates that Brentford would be willing to pay more than that, so something between £25 and 30 million might be a stronger starting point for negotiations.
It will be a blow to lose Anthony, so Burnley should be looking to maximise the potential size of the sale to make up for his likely departure.
