The CBF has condemned criminal threats made against Corinthians president Osmar Stabile and his family in a statement.
In the note, the federation said he was intimidated with images of knives and guns and that his personal data was exposed.
Stabile has faced heavy criticism in recent weeks, the flashpoint being his announcement not to renew Memphis Depay’s deal, later reversed. The next day, his address, CPF and phone number were posted online.
On Friday, fans hung protest banners on the facade of Stabile’s home. Pressure predates this, with Gaviões da Fiel meeting him several times to demand greater transparency.
Organised groups plan to protest this weekend for the removal of those they say harm Corinthians. On Wednesday, a demonstration is due outside the Ministério Público headquarters, urging analysis of judicial intervention at Parque São Jorge.
Finances have intensified the mood. The 2025 accounts showed a deficit of R$ 143.4 million and gross debt of R$ 2.7 billion, and the club faces three transfer bans, two from Fifa and one from the CBF.
The Ministério Público de São Paulo is investigating the administration, including payments of R$ 676.6 thousand to Mega Assessoria Operacional and R$ 586.9 thousand to Bear Security for Stabile’s protection, and an alleged lack of Federal Police authorisation for Mega to operate.
