Copa del Rey draw: Valencia CF placed in Group 3 for first round | OneFootball

Valencia CF will learn their first Copa del Rey opponents when the first-round draw is held on Monday 5 October. According to Superdeporte, clubs have been split into four pots for the 2026/27 competition.

This opening stage comprises 56 ties, with winners advancing to the second round. The four Spanish Supercopa participants are exempt, joining in the round of 32.

The RFEF competition rules say ties are arranged by geographic proximity and, where possible, pit lower-tier clubs against higher-tier sides. Participants are placed into as many pots as there are divisions still active in the cup.

Valencia CF are in Group 3 with fellow Valencian Primera División teams Levante UD, Villarreal CF and Elche CF.

Málaga CF are also in Group 3 as another top-flight side.
