Heavy Sanctions Hit Pyramids, Ismaily and Ahly Stars in Egyptian Premier League Round 2
The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association's announced wide list of sanctions from the 2nd round of the Nile League 2025 /26 targeting players, coaches and clubs for misconduct ranging from dangerous tackles to inappropriate behavior.
The clash between Pyramids & Ismaily saw the harshest penalties. Pyramids midfielder Ibrahim Blati Toure was suspended for one match and fined 2500 egyptian pound for red card.
On the Ismaily side, Mohamed Ihab Rashid received one match suspension and EGP 2500 fine after 2 yellow card while the club itself was fined EGP 50000 for collecting 6 bookings.
Al Ahly’s Mohamed Hany was suspended for one match and fined EGP 2500 following red card against Pharco.
Haras El Hodoud’s Mohamed Gaber received 2 match ban and EGP 5000 fine for dangerous play while the club was hit with EGP 50000 fine for 6 yellow card against Bank El Ahly.
The Nile League’s governing body stressed its commitment to professionalism & discipline through firm application of its updated 2025 /26 sanctions code.
The early rounds have already witnessed intense competition involving giants Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids alongside traditional clubs such as Ismaily & Haras El Hodoud.
