Olympique de Marseille are said to be moving to scupper Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri’s transfer to Torino, La Stampa reports.

The 28-year-old Brazilian had been due to undergo a medical on Thursday morning, but has put it on hold after Marseille entered the race in recent hours.

Perri is understood not to oppose OM’s approach, opting to take time to weigh up his options.

Torino are described as unconcerned and still expect to conclude the deal within hours.

If completed, the move would be an initial loan to Piedmont with a mandatory €12m buy-out clause, with a three-year contract lined up.

The Valinhos-born keeper moved from Olympique Lyonnais to England last summer and made 20 appearances for the Peacocks, keeping four clean sheets and conceding 33 goals.
