Olympique de Marseille are reportedly looking to scupper the transfer of Leeds United’s Lucas Perri (28) to Torino, according to La Stampa.

Expected to undergo his medical with the Italian club on Thursday morning, the Brazilian goalkeeper has ultimately decided to hold off, whilst OM are said to have entered the fray in the last few hours. The former Olympique Lyonnais player is reportedly not averse to this approach, preferring to take some time to consider his options.

This is, however, no cause for concern for Torino, who remain confident that the deal will be finalised in the coming hours. Should this indeed be the case, Perri would head to Piedmont on loan with a mandatory €12m buy-out clause. A three-year contract would await him there.

Having moved from OL to England last summer, the Valinhos-born player failed to make his mark there, keeping four clean sheets and conceding 33 goals in 20 appearances for the Peacocks.
